**Gustor Wild Game Fondue is a festive fondue featuring three characterful game meats: pheasant fillet, deer fillet and wild boar fillet. The meat is freshly cut into pieces suitable for fondue and delivered fresh. We provide approximately 350 g of meat per person. The three different game meats offer a wonderful variety of flavours, combining delicate pheasant, refined deer and the fuller character of wild boar. An ideal way to enjoy several types of game together around the table.**

**Which meats are included in our Wild Game Fondue?**

Gustor selects three different game meats for this fondue:

- **pheasant fillet**
- **deer fillet**
- **wild boar fillet**

For the pheasant, we use pheasant suprême: the breast fillet with its skin and the first small section of the wing still attached.

Together, these three meats provide a varied fondue in which each type of game retains its own distinctive flavour and texture.

**What does our Wild Game Fondue taste like?**

The appeal of a wild game fondue lies precisely in the variety of the different meats.

**Pheasant** has a delicate, elegant game flavour and is the most refined meat in the selection.

**Deer** is lean and refined, with a distinctive yet not overpowering game flavour.

**Wild boar** brings more intensity, with a fuller and slightly savoury flavour.

Serving all three together allows you to discover several different aspects of wild game during one meal.

**How much meat do you get per person?**

We provide approximately **350 g of game meat per person**.

This is a generous amount for a complete fondue meal, particularly when served with vegetables, potatoes, bread, salads and a selection of sauces.

**Freshly cut and delivered fresh**

Gustor's Wild Game Fondue is **freshly cut and delivered fresh**.

The meat is carefully prepared specifically for your order and delivered chilled to your home.

There is no need to cut the meat into fondue-sized pieces yourself. Once your broth and accompaniments are ready, you can simply bring everything to the table.

**Wild Game Fondue: broth instead of oil**

For this wild game fondue, we recommend an aromatic broth made with **game stock and red wine**.

The individual pieces of game are placed on a fondue fork and cooked directly at the table in the hot broth.

This cooking method is particularly well suited to game. The broth adds extra aroma without overpowering the natural flavours of pheasant, deer and wild boar.

As the meal progresses, the broth itself becomes increasingly flavourful as the different meats are cooked in it.

**How long should the meat cook in the fondue?**

Because the fondue contains different types of meat, each piece does not necessarily require exactly the same cooking time.

Cooking time also depends on the size and thickness of the individual pieces and the temperature of the broth.

Keep the broth sufficiently hot throughout the meal and cook each piece according to your preference.

A simple rule for fondue: **it is better to cook one piece perfectly than to leave several pieces sitting in the broth for too long.**

**What should you serve with Wild Game Fondue?**

A wild game fondue does not necessarily require heavy accompaniments.

Baby potatoes, potato croquettes, celeriac, Belgian endive, a fresh winter salad, roasted vegetables or good bread all work particularly well.

Sauces provide even more variety. Poivrade and Grand Veneur are classic game sauces, while mustard sauce, cranberry sauce or a fresh herb sauce are excellent alternatives.

**Wild Game Fondue for Christmas, New Year or a festive evening**

Wild Game Fondue is particularly suitable for a festive meal because almost all the preparation can be done in advance.

Once everyone is seated, each guest cooks their own pieces of meat at the table. This means the host can spend much more time with their guests instead of constantly being in the kitchen.

It is therefore an excellent choice for **Christmas, New Year's Eve, the festive season or simply a cosy winter evening with family and friends**.

**Order Wild Game Fondue online from Gustor**

Gustor Wild Game Fondue brings together three different game meats in one meal: pheasant, deer and wild boar.

The meat is already cut into suitable fondue pieces, is **delivered fresh**, and we provide approximately **350 g of meat per person**.

An easy and enjoyable way to serve an unusual game meal at home without having to order and prepare several different meats separately.

## preparation

RECIPE: Wild Game Fondue in an Aromatic Red Wine and Game Stock Broth

This is the classic method Gustor recommends for preparing Wild Game Fondue.

The broth is prepared and seasoned in advance before being poured hot into the fondue pot.

**IMPORTANT: the ingredients listed below for preparing the fondue broth are NOT included with the Wild Game Fondue. You receive the meat; the ingredients for this recipe must be purchased separately.**

**Ingredients – not included**

- 1 litre game stock
- 750 ml red wine
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme
- black pepper
- salt

**1. Prepare the fondue broth**

Pour the game stock and red wine into a sufficiently large saucepan.

Add the bay leaves and fresh thyme.

Season with black pepper and salt.

**2. Allow the flavours to develop**

Bring the broth to the boil.

Then reduce the heat and allow it to simmer gently for approximately **30 minutes**.

This gives the red wine, game stock and herbs time to develop into a rich, aromatic fondue broth.

**3. Remove the herbs**

After approximately 30 minutes, remove the bay leaves and thyme.

Taste and adjust the seasoning with additional black pepper or salt if required.

**4. Fill the fondue pot**

Carefully pour the hot broth into the fondue pot.

Make sure the broth remains sufficiently hot throughout the meal to cook the individual pieces of meat properly.

**5. Enjoy the Wild Game Fondue**

Place a piece of pheasant, deer or wild boar on a fondue fork and cook it in the hot broth.

Alternate between the different game meats and discover the distinctive flavour and texture of each one.

**Gustor's Tip**

You can easily prepare the broth **in advance**.

Just reheat it thoroughly immediately before the meal and pour it into the fondue pot.

Place a selection of accompaniments and sauces on the table and allow everyone to create their own combinations.

**For complete clarity: the game stock, red wine, bay leaves, thyme, pepper, salt and any suggested accompaniments or sauces are not included. The Wild Game Fondue consists of the selection of freshly cut game meats.**
